A crisp, clean notebook page. An untitled document with blinking cursor. The blank page brims with possibility. Yet, it often scares us into not putting pen to paper or fingertips to keys.
The Blank Page is a 12-week journey during which we will write, share, and discuss poetry and prose as we each put one word in front of the other.
The Blank Page is for those:
who are craving space and time to write their hearts out (poetry or prose)
who want to spend Spring cultivating 12 new pieces of writing
who are looking to connect with other writers in a welcoming and supportive online space
who believe in offering feedback that encourages and inspires revision
who want to challenge themselves to be bold enough to face the blank page.
Inside The Blank Page:
I’ll send you a prompt every Wednesday morning.
You’ll have time to reflect on and write from it.
Everyone will post their prompt response by Sunday in our secret Facebook group.
Everyone will read and respond to each other’s words with encouraging feedback.
A monthly Zoom meeting to check-in, connect, and chat.
At the end of our journey, you’ll have:
12 new pieces of writing
oodles of revision suggestions
a bunch of new writer friends
new confidence to boldly face the blank page as you continue on your writing journey.
Poetry or prose.
Beginners, seasoned, and everyone in-between.
Only requirement – the desire to write your heart out to fill the blank page.
